I love to read, both fiction and non-fiction (mostly business) books. When I find something interesting I want to save it and being able to use it in the future, when I need it. For now it is a complete failure.
Tried and failed:
- writing the margins
- highlight
- using kindle notes
- evernote and tags
- the most recent is using a separate notebook, write the page and the comment
They all failed, because when you try to find why on earth did I find this sentence useful really depends on the context and on a re-read that context is lost.
So after a recommendation from someone I value enormously, I am now trying Zettelkasten
