The AWS approach: using the right tool for the right job, sounds great in principle, but each tool uses different standard, languages and approaches. All the connections and good use of the tool is left to the devs, now needing to learn a lot of languages, so to be a generalist.
It reminded me of the web, with HTML, CSS, JS, etc…
