What is AI for? What is BI for?

I like this quote because it helps me understand and explain what is BI for and what is AI for.

BI stands for Business Intelligence. It is a way to collect a lot of data representing a business and use that data to understand how things are going and make decisions. Using algorithm on the data allows to discover unexpected connections. For example, who knew that people buying pizzas on Friday, also buy diapers…let’s put them close to one another.

AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. It a way to feed a lot of data to a very complicated statistical model generated by “training”. This means that the model has an ‘opinion’ and will use that opinion to find answers to questions in the data.

BI and AI definition are my own and are not perfect :)
