Balance sheet How much does the company owns (assets) and must pay (liabilities) and what is left for the owners (equity). You calculate the balance sheet at a certain date, it is a picture of your situation at a specific time. To decide what belongs to the balance sheet ask yourself: if the company is bankrupt would the company be able to sell it or will have to pay for it? Read more...

Why why why

Why this, why that, why up, why down. This is a question I get from my Kids almost every day. It is frustrating how few whys will push me to the limits of my knowledge. Why is postive, why is curiosity, why is why people act, why has purpose and question in 3 letters, why makes you think. I love why (even when frustrating) I use it with my team to get to the bottom of things that went well or bad. Read more...

The bankers brought two things Italian things with them that are still in use today in the UK The £ sign, which is the same as the Lira, used from the Roman time until the Euro The work bankruptcy which comes from “Banco Rotto” which means broken bench as in the early days of banking, bankers would work on benches in the open and having your bench broken meant you were bankrupt. Never stop searching for better solutions

When I search for my keys, they will always be in the last place I search. That is normal, continuing to search for my keys after finding them is stupid. But with solutions and ideas, it is more complicated. Sometimes a solution is good enough, and people will stop searching for a better way, and that is wrong. Most innovations are based on searching for better ways. To make things worst, innovation will send the previous way out-of-business, so not only the new way needs to be good, but the marketing of needs to be stellar. Read more...

Wardley Maps interesting ideas by @WardleyMaps

My previous article Mapping is not the important part of Wardley maps got the attention of Chris Daniel is the person behind @wardleymaps and @lefep. He helps CXO (and the rest of the world) use Wardley Maps. In military, on the level of a team, the situation may look like you have described. It is a map and quite standardised approaches. But when you think about larger operations (D-Day from the perspective of Nazis), the fact that you observe enemy ships does not mean they are about to land. Read more...

Status PendingUpdate for italian domains

To avoid having a .it domain blocked for 5 days while changing the ns fields (probably while moving it from 2 registar) make sure to insert all the NS into the NIC (Italian DNS authority) DNS test https://dns-check.nic.it/. When the test is good, do the change. When blocked a WHOIS of the domain will return Status: PendingUpdate Note: the DNS check will try regularly for 5 days, then will revert back to the previous value of the NS field. Read more...
